Hi, I am Blaine Drescher and I am a senior at the State University of New York at Albany. I am planning on graduating in the summer of 2009 with a major in journalism and a minor in business. I originally went to school at the University of Tennessee but ended up transferring to UALBANY for a few different reasons.
I graudated high school from Christian Brothers Academy in Albany, New York. While I was in school I played hockey, baseball and soccer. One thing that has remained consistant throughout my entire life is that I am playing or watching sports at all times.
For the longest time I didn’t know what I wanted to do when i grew up. I finally realized you have to do something you love and I love sports more then anything. I realized that being a sports reporter or sports writer would be something I would have alot of pride in. It is something that I would work really hard at. I really enjoy reading different sports articles and hope to write some good ones in my lifetime.
I am learning a great deal of techniques and tools to become a better writer and be up to date with digital media while I am at school. Recently I have learned how to use Photoshop. I have also learned about many new things such as Flickr and Twitter. I believe once I graduate I will have enough knowledge to contribute greatly to the media specifically the journalism field.
